Brandon Harris started the game and played the first 2 series, both of which were 3 and out. Harris was 1-of-4 with 8 yds passing and a near INT. His passes were brutal and not even close to the WR's. Same ol' Brandon Harris which Tiger fans have witnessed for the last 2 years.
LSU was trailing 3-0 in the 2Q when Ettling came in. Dude came out the gate on fire, completing 6-of-8 passes for 100 yards ... 1 TD rushing, the other passing. LSU scored 27 second quarter pts. to take control of the game. the 2 incompletions were on WR dropped passes and should have been caught.
After Ettling entered the game, the offense and it's production was like night and day compared to Harris. This team needed a spark and Ettling was definitely the catalyst that fired up the crowd and "may" have saved the season. LSU doesn't need Tom Brady at QB. They need a Matt Flynn or someone who can make cerebral decisions and not bone headed mistakes .... WISC interception
I quoted "may" because the person ultimately responsible for LSU's offense and play calling is in denial. He is stuck in the 1970's Bo Schembechler football and has not even attempted to adapt to today's offensive game.
the LSU faithful has seen enough as the torches are lit, and pitchforks ready ... only a matter of months before Miles is sent packing. A NC is the only thing that can save him now. If LSU loses to ALA at home this year (7 in a row) , Miles will be fired the next day.

Honestly, I'd rather see the big jumps we've seen in recent years than the old, archaic philosophy that a team shouldn't drop if they don't lose.
