I was joking. I was referring to his looks and not actually his record. I hated to see him leave A&M but man he increased his salary substantially by taking the Tech job.

I would not say can't. Auburn dline was no slouch and false starts did not help. Reynolds also had a rare drop and Ricky caught one just out of bounds. I thought knight played pretty good other than missing the receiver on couple throws. Also think he could of used his legs more early in the game on third down instead of throwing it away

See....now that you broke it down that way I feel a little better. Forgot about the Reynolds drop. Normally he makes that easily. "Can't" was a bad choice of wording. I do like that Freshman RB. He is quick.

This team wasn't going undefeated and you probably could have moved the win total to 8 after the ND game and now back to the original 7 after the Cal loss.

I thought they had turned the corner so to speak (not to a Top 10 team but getting right) but last night shows me the light bulb has not come on for the players and there's an issue with the coaching. This team was not ready to play. Everything seemed a step slow.

I was pretty sure I was on the verge of knowing it all when I changed my Pick'em Saturday AM to take the Seminoles .

It takes time. This is why GP hates playing underclassmen. He likes to play one or two that are 'ready' and the older guys on the unit can pick them up. Playing a bunch is just a drastic learning curve and they have nobody to lean on per se. Especially in TCU's situation where the underclassmen are typically not there physically. This is what you are seeing with them currently. The Texas and TCU roster is pretty comparable when you break it down by class. I think GP only has 7 seniors on scholarship right now. Texas plays a few more true freshman than TCU. Just so many new parts that nothing has 'gelled' yet. Been a little better every week but significant injuries are piling up and just not enough physical depth.

If you could combine Strong's recruiting and GP's coaching it would be unstoppable....You'd basically have Saban
