This is what I do for doves when the crops/grass is thick. Bright orange streamers are easy to find.

I am too busy shooting to throw something at where I believe the bird would be. I prefer to use a dog (and she prefers I use her too) or I just walk over to the bird. Also, ducks don't always land where you think, those little buggers can haul butt in the marsh if they are wounded. I wish the guy luck but I don't see a need for that product.

Its really just a novelty. Very small market, I would imagine in priced right and marketed correctly it would sell to the hunters wives and family around Christmas and thats about it.

I you make it for marking your way so you could sell to hikers, boysccots, girl scouts and adventure enthusiast then you have a chance at actually selling a decent amount.

I think it's a good concept in brush or tall grass, especially if you don't have much on the horizon to mark your line. Just toss it not necessarily on top of the bird but on your line. I like the washers & orange tape idea, might have to throw a few in the bird bag.

Been doin' it for years with washer, nuts, bolts, you name it with surveyor's ribbon tied to 'em... washers are best because you can carry a bunch of 'em in your pocket. Used them for quail mostly... but on doves too... Ducks, not so much...
Best is a good (or even a mediocre) lab tho. They work wet or dry.

If you have a dog, then obviously this product isn't for you.

And if you have a dog and still think about using these, well, you don't have much of a dog
