    Elk outfitter recommendation needed

I NEED to hunt elk next year.

I am looking for a good no BS outfitter in Colorado or an over the counter state that can put me and my dad on a good bull elk with a rifle and it not cost an arm and a leg. We don't need a 5 star lodge. We don't want to be pampered. We want a good quality elk hunt and no go broke doing it. I have lloked into several outfitters but prices are all over the place. My dad is getting old LOL so I want to do it before he cant handle the terrain anymore. Gotta be next year because I am fat and out of shape and need to get in shape. Any help is greatly appreciated

buy tags for unit 30 colorado OTC 2nd rifle or put in for 1st rifle draw (its been 100% draw chance last few yrs)
go up into douglas pass area public land and ask the warden where the elk are he will tell you. Bam go get your elk, just bring some good boots bc you will need em.
2 for 2 on very nice bulls here 550$ tag plus gas

I have a rifle just for that hunt. Not sure if you remember that 7rum XHR Shane sold me a while back, it has been in the safe since I received it and will be for sale very soon.

True Grit & Compass West Outfitters in New Mexico are great.

A few years back I went with Fishtail Ranch out of Chama NM. And it was great.

Brosigs out of Midland have some NM bull hunts available. Cancellation hunts, probably the cheapest they'll ever be. Shoot me a pm and I'll put you in contact. They kill a lot of big bulls every year.

I'm going with Folsom outfitters in New Mexico next month. It'll be my first hunt with them but do a search on here, they have several good reviews.

I've booked a couple hunts through Cabelas. Take a look at what they have.

That's pretty cool place to look at hunts. Never knew they had a site like that. Even saw Doc in there with his Buffalo from last year I believe it was!
