Spent the day Broad Head testing.

So I was or am going to switch up broad heads this year.

My bow was tuned last week so spent the morning doing the fine dialing it back in. Got it spot on with field tips then went to BH's.

First up Blood Runners (this was going to be my choice for the season)
1 set of 3 shots shooting for center of target , all went high left. Way off!!
So quick question to fishindadio if he seen this out of them and no. So i micro tuned my QAD but could not dial it down. Changed up FOC same result .
Shot field point for camparison and was a little low and way right.
Several rounds and I stopped could not dial it in.
    Believe its the heads.

Switched to Muzzy Trocar, everything reset to original, first shot group was 2" high 1" left, not too bad. Changed FOC with couple washers and was 1" high and 1" left, micro tuned the rest got it inside the ring.
Shot field tip and it was 1" right but elevation good.

Switched to Muzzy 3 blade, all settings back to original, first shot group all 2" high but centered pretty good. Changed FOC with washers (3) and all 3 shots in the ring.

Switched to Grim Reaper Razor Cuts, 2" high, 1-1/2" left. Changed FOC took 4 washers and elevation was good. Adjusted rest in , got inside of ring. Shot field tip, elevation good but outside ring to the right.

Switched to razor back 4 all settings back to original.
First shot group all in ring , field points shot next and all 6 shots were together.

I still have monotec and jack hammers to test.

Moral of this post, every broad head whether its fixed or expandable flies different. You need to spend time shooting your BH's and don't believe expandaples shoot exactly like a field point.

All hads tested were 100gr .

Get the spinning inserts and stop worrying. Doesn't matter what broadhead you put in them you will hit where your aiming.

Not true. If that bow is not tuned, not telling where any head will fly, spinning inserts or not.
If spinning inserts would fix the flight of any broadhead out of any bow, tuned or not, then that would be the only insert being sold.
If that arrow comes out of an untuned bow all sideways or kicking one way or the other, it ain't going to fly right no matter how the broadhead spins.

I have seen it happen. I have watched them shoot an open rage and hit bullseye numerous times. Besides that you said nothing about your bow not being tuned. You said you were tuning broadheads. Big difference.

My bad, I misinterpreted your first post. I can see them working on a well tuned bow, but not on one that is not tuned. Obviously HCshooter's bow is tuned. Sorry.

Need to try a few out of my bow and see what wants to fly right this year

Slick tricks and grim reapers are on top of the list

Oh gotcha. No worries. I wish my inserts were not super glued in, I would switch to them.

One of the main issues is the higher speeds. If I slow my bow down all those BH's shoot better, but when I have it set where it is now 354fps , the speed makes a huge difference and affects the flight a lot more.

Very true, you have to start with a tuned bow or don't even try tining bh's.

2015 X10 , I am not a big fan of the X12, all they did was move the brace 5/8" over and it makes it a little more difficult to tune.

How you like it? I almost switched to that but when I retuned and hit 354 I felt there was no reason.
Besides the deeper valley of the X10 I don't see much reason to switch.

I like it wish it had limb stops to adjust the valley and hold a bit more but other than that I love it
