    Goat problem

Bought goats to put on my home place and within 2 days the family Weimaraner has attacked two. The first time wasn't bad. The next time he was let out of the house he sprinted to the fence, dug under, and had a goat down in about 60 seconds.

I need the goats for an ag exemption and I don't want to get rid of the Weimaraner because the family is attached.

Anyone ever broke a dog from killing goats?

Shock collar. Wait till he touches a goat then hit him. After a couple of lessons he will think goats are electric.

You don't have a "Goat Problem"....you have a "Dog Problem".

Shock Collar cranked up and every time that he looks at those goats, gets near the fence or does anything else you don't like.....pin his head to the ground.

I can't add anything except to concur with the shock collar and kudos to the OP on a very creative username!

Shock collar. Do a little reading on how to use a collar properly first, though. If you use them properly they don't (usually) have to be used on a high setting and are VERY effective in training a dog. I use them in training all of my hunting and tracking dogs.

I have a couple of large LGD's in with my goats. (Livestock guard dogs) I haven't had any kind of problems for years. I can promise you, if something comes in the fence with my goats, and makes it out alive, they won't try again. I know you need a quick fix but you might want to think about LGD's in the future. Best of luck with your dilemma.

LGD is the only way to go. Keep your dog and everyone elses off your goats.
