Bowtech assassin just crapped the bed

Was out shooting today, sent an arrow down range and the bow made an ungodly sound, once I made sure my face was in one piece. I start to look at my bow. And that's when I found the cause of the ungodly sound. I heard that I can't order cams from Bowtech, any one here have one they don't use/need, or know where to get them from? Or even better, is this repairable? I'm gunna go hide in the closet for a week after this.

It might be possible to pick up a used set but I would just bite the bullet, go to a dealer and buy a new set. Crazy that side wall let go like that, wonder if the string wasn't feeding proper into the cam.

why can't you get cams? Is the bow not under warranty? I damaged my cam on my Bowtech Captain a few years ago. Completely my fault but was able to get a replacement cam from them.

I used to absolutely be in love with Bowtech. my first big purchase out of college was a Bowtech. loved that thing. But, for the last 5+ years, the problems with them have just piled up. Mainly delaminating limbs. It is just ridiculous. I'll never own another.

I bought the bow from a guy off here about two years ago, so that warranty thing doesn't really help me here. Hoping maybe some one has one on here collecting dust

Never hurts to ask Bowtech. The cam should never have come apart like that.

looks like you may have canted the bow or had a funky release that rolled the string... Blow-techs are famous for that... After mine did it for the second time, I went back to Mathews... sure did like that Destroyer, but just had no confidence in it after the same thing happened twice...

New cam shouldn't be more than $60. Do you have someone who can put it on for you?

That stinks, those are great shooting bows. Did you check with All Star in Lewisville where you live?

Why not take it to a dealer?

You personally can't order cams, but dealers can. They should warranty it as well, given there's no abuse involved.

I am still kinda mad at the bow, so we're not on speaking terms. Found a few places, all said they need to see the bow for whatever reason.

Personally no, but cinnamon creek isn't too far if they end up ordering it for me. Must admit I figured they'd be more than 60 bucks tho.

They want to verify you didn't damage it yourself. That it was defective. Most good shops will put in the claim for you.
