And not a chance he is a top ten pick after sitting a year. His signing bonus and guaranteed money would be a fraction of what it is now.

San Diego loses the 3rd pick in the draft.

posting about beheading a cop. Sure glad hunting season is in the fall. Don't get me started on basketball. Enjoy the season.
Feel better?

So yeah I was think correct due to the latest CBA Teams and player agents still have negotiating to do when it comes to the influx of rookies taken in the 2016 NFL Draft, but getting the rookies to put pen to paper on a contract is simpler now than it was in 2010 and the years prior. That was the final season before the latest collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players' Association was enacted.
Each of the 250-plus draft slots are allotted a specific portion of the league's total rookie compensation pool, effectively introducing a wage scale dependent on draft position. This means no more holdouts extending into training camp and few points of contention between agents and teams when it comes time to sign.
SO basically they are trying to give him the shaft on his signing bonus. From what I read the signing bonus is basically spread over a 4 year deal and also has a cap but it does not have a minimum. Just my understanding anyway.

He'll get paid.

Chargers would want compensation for a 3rd round pick.... could get expensive in terms of future pick compensation.
