Trading in my coolness for a minivan

Well, I still get to keep the Tacoma, but it looks like the other car is fixing to be a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country.

Any green screen feedback on the Town and Country? Seems like it will work well for toting the kids around comfortably. Any issues with reliability or performance? Somebody tell me they had one and put 200K on it...

Rented one to go to Florida last year. Nice ride, comfortable, and good on gas.

Take middle seats out and keg fits good in middle. Can reach tap from front seats and back.

We had a 2009 Chrysler minivan. No issues with it other than the power sliding-doors both stopped working after it was out of warranty.

We bought a Town and Country van when our boys were young. It was a hard pill to swallow for me because we got rid of my beloved BMW to buy it. (how's that for a "your life has changed! wake-up call?) We did a lot of family road trips in those years and my wife drove a lot of carpool - the minivan was the perfect vehicle and the Chrysler was very reliable. We put about 180k on it with few problems

I'm on my third Mopar minivan I bought used. My dad has owned them new every since they first came out in 1984. He's on his last one now (Custom T&C he ordered new). Only because Chrysler is about to stop making them. And yes, if you have the 3.3 in it, it can get over 200K. I got 230K out of my last one before I sold it. I took both back seats out. And used it to hunt, fish, and camp out of. A twin air mattress fit perfectly in there. Also used it to pull a small boat with all the time. And a trailer full of corn, 4-wheeler, and other gear for a few years.

Years ago we looked a a Town & County, and bought a Honda Odyssey.
We liked it a lot. Ended up paying it off (instead of trading and getting another vehicle). About a month after we pay it off some dope pulls out in front of me and I t-bone him going about 40, after slamming on the brakes.
              I was irate!

We did the minivan thing for a while and my wife absolutely loved it. We had 225,000 on it when we got rid of it with zero issues except normal wear and tear.

Buying a minivan is the equivalent of putting a "No Longer Sexually Active" sticker on your current ride!!!

My wife got rid of her Mercedes GLK and got a 2015 Town & Country this past fall. No regrets at all. It's actually nicer and has a lot more options. Perfect for hauling kids in our opinion after trying all the Tahoes and such. She didn't have a $ limit from me and still went that direction

I say no, out of principle - take a stand now.

hehehe...I told my wife the last time she was car shopping, that I didn't care what she bought. But just know this, if you buy a minivan, I won't be riding anywhere with you. She bought a Toyota Sequioa

My brother in law bought one for his wife, they love it. But they also have 4 kids under the age of 10

When my 1 ton was stolen and my wife and I were looking for a new vehicle we had a similar discussion about a van/mini van. I bought a Sequoia.

I wasn't a fan when shopping now it's all I care to take unless I'm alone. Loaded out more than any other vehicles including Denalis and for half the price

                              Convenient and comfy
