      I think the odds of a snake penetrating rubber boots with socks and possibly pant legs are really slim, I think it would be a dry bite at best, but better safe than sorry.

        my standard cabelas rubber boots didn't keep out brushy thorns, so i don't trust them to keep out snake fangs- went and bought some LaCrosse® 18" Mudlite Snake Boots to be sure.
