    Rubber/Snake boots

So yesterday I shot a hog and got him a little far back give him a few hours and called a friend to help recover the hog and as we're going along he finds a rattler and kills it we walk 10 yards and I find a 4 foot rattle 3 feet from me I new snakes where in that area but didn't think rattlers would hang out in flooded grassy areas so now I'm looking for good snake proof rubber boots any body have any they really like ?

You can get waterproof snake boots. Not sure if they make rubber boots that are snake proof. I had a pair of Scentblocker boots that were both waterproof and snake proof. Not sure if they are still running the 50% special they had yesterday, but would be a good time to pick up a pair if so.

I would have no problem trusting any old rubber boot from a hardware store or tractor supply will work.

Lacrosse makes a rubber snake boot. That's what I wear. They are great.

Never really understood this. Snakes generally aren't out when it is cold, which means you really need snake boots when its hot. Don't understand why the boots would be insulated. I hate it. Nothing like wearing insulated boots in the middle of July in 100 degree weather.

I got hit by a cottonmouth while duck hunting early season and the fangs did not penetrate the Lacrosse Hip Boots. They were not billed as snake boots but did the job.

Yeah I don't think I could hit a sitting duck after that

I think rubber boots can stop them most of the times, but not every time. I have had mesquite thorns go right through a pair of rubber boots with ease. I don't think a big snake would have an issue if he struck hard enough.

I got two buddies here on TBH. And all they wear are Cabela's brand snake proof full rubber boots.
