Airbag Recall, how many of you are affected?

I've seen the recall on TV and the many news reports on the people that have died. Well on Friday I got a recall for my Infinity, actually I got a letter saying that I would get another letter some time in the future as the nation is short on replacement air bags.

I have to say that now that I know I am worried as I drive around all the time with my daughter in the front seat. She is a teenager so she isn't a little kid.

How many of you have had that letter?

I've got 2 seperate recalls on my 07 Dodge 1500 for airbag recalls. One of them they have the parts on hand for (never got a letter or return call from the dealer that the parts were in and I forgot about it) and the other, they said I would receive another letter when parts are available. I then have to schedule a time to get them both done.

Got one for my 2012 silverado last month. Said they'd share more info later but that there have been fatal accidents due to bad airbags. Not very reassuring so I can relate with you- wondering if I'd be killed by an airbag from a fender bender. Hope to get more info soon.

We got the same letter on our 09 Silverado.

At least half do not even know there's a recall on the cars/trucks they're driving.

My daughters 2012 Volkswagon Passet is on the recall but Volkswagon is still not reacting to it....

Got a letter a while ago for the Corolla we have. Had no time to take it in. Car has one wheel in the junkyard with 211k on it.

We got the letters for our Silverado and our Yukon Denali. Also got a superate letter for our Jeed Grand Cherokee for the shifter.

Got one for my Jeep and one for my wife's Honda...both said parts weren't available yet and to expect another letter when they're in. Very comforting to know we're both driving potential death traps...

It is scary, if I hit something going 15 miles an hour that could release the airbag and result in death. Not very reassuring knowing that there is nothing I can do about it and there are not enough airbags in the entire nation to fix the problem.

I haven't received a letter on either my vehicles, so I hope I'm not effected. For you guys that have gotten letters and are worried, why not just pull the fuses, so they won't go off, if involved in an accident? Either way, kinda of a lose lose situation, but you wouldn't have to worry about a low speed collision causing the air bag to go off. Just a thought

Got one for my 2011 silverado. Letter stated it was for passenger side airbag.

Our neighbors across the street got the airbag recall notice. They said their dealer gave them a loaner car and told them not to drive the recalled car until parts came in. They were told it would be 6 months.

Got the recall on both my 2012 ram and my wifes car.

Any attorneys on here have advice on what to do? I maybe overly worried here but the issue is almost like playing russian rollette.
