Man that is a dodge for you. I have had one 1500 that had transmission issues and my mom has had 2 with transmission issues. Even my buddy's that are hardcore dodge until the day they die have had transmission issues from 1500-3500 they just don't say much about it lol

Is it. Thump sound or is it a jerk? You're suppose to adjust transmission bands like every 50,000 or so. Nobody does it and that's why they have issues.

I'd check the motor mounts. When you take off the motor could be torqing up and when it shifts and the rpm's go down, the motor will fall back in place. As far as it not doing it all the time, it depends on how hard you take off.

If you've never adjusted your transmission bands, do them. If yours has them, I don't know if there is a new design on the newer ram transmissions.

Left side, under the muffler bearing. But you'll need a left handed wrench.

                      Possibly the torque converter too.

I have the exact same vehicle, started doing the same thing you described at 80k.

Took it in, ended up being my prndl switch.

Well shop said there's no codes but misfire on 3-5-6 cylinders... apparently the ignition coils for those have been changed before they say... I hope this gets fixed and isn't a bigger issue...

A Dodge is designed so that the drive shaft will hit the road shortly before the tranny goes out so you should be good for now.
