Gonna do it, just help me decide on a shotgun.

Got it narrowed down to the big 3 and will pull the trigger on one next weekend.

    Browning A5 for $1,600
Beretta A400 in Optifade for $1450
Beretta A400 in All Black of $1350
    Benelli SBE II for $1400
    Benelli Super Vinci for $1400

Ive handled all of them, only one ive shot has been the SBE. Leaning towards the A400.

Main uses will be for waterfowl hunting. Needs to be able to stand up to the abuse of being dirty as all get out a lot of the time. I hunt a lot of backwaters so sometimes my guns get covered in soupy mud, sometimes they are submerged in water when walking to the blind in flooded timber and I will hunt in the salt a handful of times every year. Need something reliable where I dont have to take it apart in the blind to get it to shoot.

This will be my first semi auto ever so hoping I dont regret it, shot an 870 or an over under all my life.

Whats your choice and why? Also, can I get a better price on it and where?

I've shot the Browning A5, and own a super Vinci which I have used to hunt dove and duck over the past 4 years. Of the two I preferred the Vinci. It has cycled everything expect some light Remington dove shells. It is easy to disassemble and clean, which is great since we primarily hunt salt water.

I've never regretted my investment on my SBE II. Great product. I like the Berretta too, but the Benelli points slightly better for me.

I benefitted because my fellow hunters have each one. I was able to field test both and I knew I was buying one or the other after shooting both.

I'm not a Vinci fan but I understand that the market likes it. That's why they build and sell it.

Gonna look at both, hope youre doing well bud! Duck season is coming up quick

I liked how the super vinci felt but the one thing I cant get over is the rib on top of the barrel on benellis, it has a "ramp" instead of being a flat surface all the way to the bead. Yes, I have the muscle memory to just swing on my target but if im trying to "aim" my eyes direct right to the ramp instead of the end of my barrel at first glance.

                For duck hunting SBE.

Breaks down in seconds and is a breeze to clean. I've been shooting one for almost 20 yrs and it's literally seen 10's of thousands of rounds. Never missed a beat

You need to find better places to duck hunt lol. 20 years and I've never submerged a gun duck hunting. I've hunted in the rain and laid my gun in the grass, hunted during down pours, and got overspray because of wind from hunting in the marsh but my guns have never been covered in mud or submerged in water. My Beretta 390 has been hunting the marshes for 17 years and has never failed me.

Do I hear an invite? Lol I say submerged but I guess just the stock and action. Sling it on my back and forget about it till I've already been walking in chest deep water for 15 mins lol

Pretty sure I'm gonna get the a 400 next weekend but found a heck of a deal on a super Vinci today that I couldn't pass up so I may or may not already have one now... [emoji23]

I'm a Beretta guy. So the A400 gets my vote.

Cleaning is the key with the SBE. I know two guys who have both have ongoing issues with cycling if their SBE is not spotless. I give both of them major hell when they are shooting a $1600 single shot.

Another friend has the A400 and has never had issues.... And heis a slob and never cleans his guns.

I have both the SBE and the Beretta, i think the SBE is a little thinner more racier,
Have you looked at the Benelli M2 same as the SBE, won't shoot 31/2 only 23/4 and 3".. Work horse
