Praying for you to be led by the spirit of God, in peace and comfort, in every decision made from here on. God is good and sent his Jesus to bring life, not death, comfort for mourning and a spirit of gladness for those who are heavy-hearted. stand in faith, knowing that God is always good and the battle is a spiritual battle as much as it is a physical battle. May you and your wife hear the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly and be led by him only. Blessings on you!
I have known of several folks who had kidney cancer. If I remember correctly every one of them kicked it. My dad was one of them. He had one kidney & part of the other removed. He lived another 20+ years, all without any more cancer. And this was back in the 80s. Advancements in the war on cancer have brought even more success stories. You, your wife and all involved will be in my my prayers.

Worst case, if he can't do it robotic, he would have to open her up, and remove entire kidney.
He has only done 2 like this, and was successful on only 1. He is going to consult with a couple of his peers, and develop a plan.
