I had a $1400 check overnighted to me for a $300 bow. I knew that it was fake so I just left it on top of my desk for over a year.

I now have two lines that I add to my Craigslist ads.

No texts, texts will not be answered.

If interested, pick up the phone and call me.


I still get texts, which I ignore. I sold a car about a month ago using a Craigslist ad within three hours after publishing the ad. There are still some legitimate folks out there that look at Craigslist. I also do not set up the ad where people can email me. Serious buyers will still use a telephone.

I have dealt with a few but none as good as some of these! Haha I have started selling stuff on offerup which is like letgo. Have had great luck with it so far. Any hunting or outdoor stuff I try to sell on here though if I can

Well since I removed the text option the scammers went away. The bad news is not one single email inquiry.

Has anyone tried let go they advertise on TV. If so what was the experience like?

My wife sort of does this when she sells anything. A lot of neighborhoods, cities or areas have facebook garage sale pages. She has never had an issue.

I had a guy try to send me 3000 dollars for a 300 dollar hunt then he wanted me to mail him back the 2700 for "mailing fee's" but said I could keep an extra hundred for the trouble lol I told him no deal!
