Is that an add on mount or integrated to the upper?

Yes it's the RRA Elevated Optics Platform (EOP) - integrated. I use low rings which brings it into perfect alignment with a Milspec stock. The barrel is free floated within the forward rail.

dang it... I've been looking(though not very hard) for something just about that height.

Scope on top of detachable carry handle, too high for me. Flat on the rail, too low.
