I really like my Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 4x12 scope for my AR. Ordered mine with the MILDOT reticle and all of them come with an highly adjustable Ballistic Drop Compensator (BDC). Click yardages from 100 to 650 yards coupled with windage adjustments. The MILDOTs are another level of quick shot visual compensation, when you have a shot setup that happens so fast, you can't dial in the BDC.
Built specifically for the AR. It makes shooting at any range, so easy to dope, up to 650 yards.
40 rounds using my Leupold on paper. Absolutely nuts for a semi-auto on a hot day in direct sun with wind, shot after shot with 2 mags changed out without stopping.
I have the little $49.95 Browning Buckmark red dot reflex sight on my M-4.
No magnification but is great on P-dogs to 100yds. Shoot with both eyes wide open.
Fastest target acquisition there is which is great for fast moving targets.
I have done a lot of reading and video watching I am down to these
1. Leupold VX-Hog
2. Primary Arms 1-6X Hunting Rifle Scope w/ ACSS Reticle Gen II PAPS1
3. Hi-Lux Optics CMR Series 1-4x24mm Close-Medium Range Tactical Riflescope with red Illuminated Special CMR Ranging Glass Reticle
Check out vortex new scout scope. Definitely want something that has a 1-2 low end power. And about 3-7 on the high end should be plenty for out to 300.

Is that an add on mount or integrated to the upper?
