Rage may have finally done it

I have been a rage hater for years. The blade angle sucked on them and the ferrules were junk, that includes the new hypodermic. I feel like the ferrule is the most important part of a broadhead and I have seen many bent ferrules on both the old aluminum heads but Even more on the hypodermic.

That said I have always liked the slip cam design.

The funny thing is they may have finally made the perfect broadhead and they aren't advertising it?? This coming from a company built on advertising.

The new 2016 rage hypodermic +P

This head is 1.5" with a much better blade angle as well as a stainless steel ferrule(a huge upgrade from the regular hypo) this will be the head I shoot this year. Also Note the "crossbow" hypodermic has the new stainless ferrule as well. And you don't just have to shoot that out of a crossbow.

I like it! Not sure if I want the new ones or to keep my Nap bloodrunners.

If you read my initial post I'm not either. They had tons of flaws. This new head looks solid tho

I Wonder how much more of a increase would penetration be over a normal hypo or plain old 2 blade?

The biggest thing with this head is minimizing failures. Anytime I have seen a rage fail is is because of the ferrule bending. All the energy is hitting with the ferrule and if that bends or is compromised then that's where most energy is lost. So the stainless ferrule should be stronger. The blade angle being steeper and 1/2" less blade having to push through should help penetration a ton also.

meh... the ferrule material and blade angle are not the reasons I don't and never will shoot them.

Thanks for sharing. Might have to grab me a pack for this year, and use my old hypos on piggys.

Was a expandable hater for years until 2012. Shot rage since then on elk to coyotes no problems. Most problems with any setup are human error anyway, admitted or not.

Rage, the broadhead bowhunters love to hate.

I like the design....but, the thing I really like about the regular 2 blade rage is the 2 inch cut....and the large cutting area.

I will stick to heads that are actually solid... as in no fluid moving parts
