I really should know the answer to this. taking my daughter to the coast this weekend. she is 15 and I am not fishing. I know she doesn't need a license, but does she need a saltwater stamp? if I help her net one, am I breaking the law?

If you are assisting her in any way to fish or land a fish, you could be said to be fishing. Just like carrying fishing poles to or from an area.
It'd be a whole lot safer, and cheaper than a citation, with court cost and attorney's fees to try to prove your innocents, to get a license.
And like Smart said above, she doesn't need one, at the present.
