Sounds like a super fun trip. Just to be clear to anyone who reads this thread. You do not have to have a guide to go moose hunting in Alaska

We can fly for free anywhere in the world, yet we never use the benefits when we have to be somewhere at a specific time/date. At least for UA, a buddy pass means you are on standby and do not have a guaranteed seat. You will be the last to get on the plane only if there are any empty seats left. The same situation coming back home. Just plan accordingly since a buddy pass requires some extra timing issues.
yeah we planned it so we have some leeway on time plus we are taking the earliest flight they have both times and they told us there is a 95% we will make both the flights so I'm praying we are in that 95% not the 5% LOL

Ya, the alaskan subspecies is the biggest. They're in Alaska and the Yukon. Just don't shoot one standing in the water .

Can't have a moose hunting thread without a LDP in it. Killed on my 2nd DIY float hunt in Alaska on the Nuyakuk River.

You will never forget a trip like this!

Wow, that is exciting. It was 57 degrees in Wrangell today. Alaska is so beautiful.
