It's a crock of *****. Period.
So what your saying is..... Your not responsible enough to look over a contract to see what your paying for before you sign it? People typically want the best price regardless what the coverages are going to be. Policies are very long and boring contracts but you can bet that what ever that contract reads the insurance company is going to pay. Its up to the customer to actually read and understand it before entering into the contract. There is no hidden language that will prevent an insurance company from paying its obligation spelled out in that contract.

Some of you folks sure are funny

I did not realizethat anyone was looking for an agrnt. I did however provide some input that might explain why a person might want to have insurance and how very little you actually pay in order to have someone else except that huge finiancial risk for you

A lot these guys bitching about insurance rates probably work for those greedy oil companies that are so quick to raise gas prices but never seem to drop them much when oil proces decrease.

And who cares if you are or aren't an insurance agent. What you said is spot-on.

Nobody wants to pay insurance premiums but **** they're sure quick to demand their carrier pay up for every little thing that happens. I feel bad for insurance agents and insurance carriers. They can never please anyone.

Y'all keep griping about your insurance rates. Then you can gripe some more when the government overtakes home and auto insurance too.

And don't be asking for insurance runs from the Astros. That's just tacky.

Heres an example: we sold a policy to a fella who has rent houses
He built a brand new duplex, had the policy on it for a few months under builders risk. Transferred it to a typical policy when finished. 1 week later it burned down. Company paid in the neighbor hood of 120k. He paid nearly nothng on the policy but yet that creedy company fulfilled their obligation on that policy. Now this man ciuld have self insured if he wanted in which case he would have been out the 120k he just spent on the build. You tell me ....... You think he was glad to pay that preimum

I know some folks that were required to buy flood insurance by their lender because the area they bought in was in a high risk flood area. They were mad as hell to be spending $2600 for flood insurance but guess who's house is about to be torn down and rebuilt to the tune of almost $400,000? Yup.

Looking back that was $2,600 well spent. But **** the National Flood Insurance Program for selling them that wildly expensive policy.

Yep and if the NFIP was run like an actual company that had to have reserves and at least break even flood insurance would cost a lot more.

I am an agent, it's all I've done since college but I know better to argue with people on the internet about it.

True, true. And what about folks in coastal counties getting upset about TX Windstorm premiums. They only THINK they wish someone else offered that policy.
