    Steven, what year was that?

I had to exchange a lot of e mails with Ben's mom to pull that one off.

Ben hung a gametamer in a mesquite right on the Rio Grande. I sat in the pop up. At some point I fell asleep and when I woke up there were hogs in the sendero. I zipped one and went to check on Ben. I was sure he had crawled down and crashed in the truck but nope, the little dude was still at it in the gametamer.

That was also the hunt Michael filmed the mountain lion about 200 yards from where we were.

I'd love to figure out who all made the "Granger Family Picnic". It was blazing hot but it was a good time. That was the first time a lot of us met Ben. He just stood there and grinned as everyone told him how much they liked his posts as the kid evolved into a great bowhunter.

2000 and went by Zmax4fun. First group hunt was 5Star - same one Legdog took Ben on.

Pretty cool thread, fellas. I knew there had been a big crash in '06. But I didn't realize how long some of y'all had been around and just how into archery some of you are/were. Thanks for sharing y'all.

I don't remember exactly, I want to say 2003 was when I joined. I've always considered myself a lurker. I hit the back button a lot after typing up a response.

Cool thread. I really enjoy reading this type of stuff about the early TBH days!

I think I got on in 2002 but drifted away until 05/06. Don't even remember my old screen name.

I started lurking summer of 2006 getting ready for bow season, and then TBH was gone? Signed up later that year.

Pre 2000 for me. Sitting in a cubicle on Dell's campus and during lunch and
starting "Pre googling " tips for archery. My brother in law had given me his old PSE to encourage me to start hunting more as I had burned out on rifle hunting.

Came across the site somehow and my man crush on Ben began.

What a wonderful life experience it has been as I have made life long friends, nurtured an addiction. Who else in the world can say they or a family member can break down about anywhere in Texas and a friendly face will find them within an hour for a helping hand.

Kudos to Michael, Casey and everyone else who has taken ownership in making this a special place.

How you been doing David? Good to see you post again.

I remember back in '98 or '99 seeing a couple of guy's in the Dairy Queen in Graham with Texasbowhunter..com caps on. Don't know who they were and didn't have a clue about the web site. Then in '01, Bow5 told me to check out a pic of one of Buckriders bucks on TBH. I checked it out and joined.
