It was '03 or '04 for me. At the time I was hunting near Hardtner, KS which is how I got the name. I have never been a frequent poster, particularly in the old days but I have always been a dedicated lurker.

I don't remember when I joined but it was before the first Bow Nanza at Lake Granger and Ben was about 13 years old.

Started following and reading/lurking in about the summer of 2004 when I got my first computer and uninterrupted internet connection my freshman year in college didn't join till the fall of '09. Where I grew up there wasn't decent internet, or that we could afford anyways....

I remember distinctly when and why, February 20th of 2009. I had just found out we had lost the best lease we had ever been on, and buddy the told me there was a lease someone was advertising on some "Texas bowhunter website". I got on here and joined TBH shortly after. Had I known there was TBH in 1999 I probably wouldn't have accomplished much in college.

I joined pretty early, as soon as I got into bowhunting which had to be in 99 or 2000, used the name Fowler for a long time and switched to my name when we all had to register new in 2006. I've used the same avatar all these years. I remember all the planning (very limited compared to today) for the Granger picnic, didn't go but I made the first Bownanza in CS.

I vividly remember Legdog going to Ben's house to pick him up for their first hunt together. Ben was maybe 13 or so? It was pretty bizarre and I couldn't believe at the time that Ben's parents would let a dude from the internet come take their kid for the weekend!

                            Steven, what year was that?

I had arranged for Joey "Tinman" Gates to go hog hunting on our place so he could hunt with Mike Huston's"Little Delta Bow" while I had it.
My wife literally freaked the hell out saying "that guy from the internet" was going to kill me.
I tried to reassure her but she wouldn't calm down at all!
I ended up cancelling and feeling like a jerk for doing so.

It took Legdog years to get me to even consider looking. He used to text me after each post to coach me to add value He pretty much gave up on the idea after awhile I am addicted to classifieds bigtime
