When asked for my biggest professional weakness...
I tell them that i tend to get upset at people that don't work as hard as I do.

When asked what do you enjoy doing in your spare time...
I tell them that I enjoy golfing, fishing, and hunting.
I tell them this because I wouldn't want to work for an employer that frowns upon hunting, fishing, and/or even golfing

If asked what is your greatest weakness...
I smile and tell them making an eight foot putt that is dowhill and breaking left to right. Then I smile and tell them, my greatest professional weakness is......

Interviewed for a job and was the only one of over 60 applicants that didn't have a degree, we started talking fishing and fished a tournament the next week. We ended up winning the tournament and of course I got the job.

I've always hated those during police interviews:

        1. List your three biggest weaknesses
        2. List your three biggest strengths

And in promotional boards, "You are out of the equation, so pick who you believe would be the best person for the promotion." Or, the don't leave you out and ask who would be the best for the job. I've actually seen people answer, well John would be better than me. Duh, hello!

I have always been honest about it, I don't think it has ever cost me a job.

Heck when I graduated from College there was about a month where all I did was fish and interview for jobs. Oddly enough the job I ended up taking a couple of the upper mgmt. guys brought up my coon eye tan in the interview and the rest of the interview turned to fishing conversations.

Spent most of my professional career in the world of finance and had quite a few jobs. Currently the CFO for a private label bottle water company (national). My response to that question - "Hunting, Fishing, Golf." Oh yeah, my first interview was in a DUCK BLIND out of Rockport with the President/CEO of the company. He also likes to bug out of the office early on Thursdays to go play golf. I think I answered the question appropriately.

I should also mention that the 50% majority owner AND the COB are both big duck hunters and golfers. I had to answer that question for them also. Yeah, I fit in pretty well here!

I answer it honestly. Hunt and making knives. I've had three jobs since college and one of them was a ranch manager for a hunting ranch owned by a famous person. It's on my resume and my now boss was someone I had dealings with when I worked up there. Small world.
I've actually gotten knife orders when I mention knifemaking.
