POC question - When fishing the Big jetties, what bait, type of gear, right side or left side, depth, ect... Gonna try it this weekend!

Location depends on the tide. Normally incoming tide fish on the outside of the rocks and outgoing fish on the inside. Most of the guides that fish the jetties there use a drop shot rig with 2 ounce weight. 18-20 ft of water. If the surf is flat, that is where I would fish. Find the bait and you will find the fish.

Thanks... Always fish the flats, intercostal and honey holes... But we're right there so want to try a land some larger fish!

If you are fishing the surf, your best bet will be trout. Get some good sized croaker (4 to 5 inchers), find the third sandbar and cast back to the shore. I only wade fish but this is what I have been told. I will say this, when fishing with croaker, make sure you pop the heck out of them..make'em croak!
