which one would you take and why? Any personal experience with these on Elk appreciated,
Of those shuttle T. Fly best and have solid blades. However if your hunting colorado shuttle T isn't legal.

Ram cat blades suck and I don't like the blade angle of the Slick tricks.

I would also look at Wac em and QAD Exodus

I've seen ramcat blades bend in a quiver. Was not impressed.

Shuttle T's are a great head, the 100 grain broadheads fly great, are tough, penetrate very well and are sharp. I know that some of the original trophy taker versions had issues with sharpness but the Black Ops versions are sharp. I killed a moose a two years ago with the Shuttle T's.

By the way I believe the Shuttle T's are legal in Colorado, the regs state:

"Each cutting edge must be in same plane for entire length of cutting surface"

This is meant for broadheads like the Toxic not the curved profile of the blades of the shuttle T or broadheads like the Solid, DRT, Stricklands, and Landsharks.

The Slick Trick Magnums are also good heads, I killed Musk Ox last year with them. I also like the looks of the viper trick.

All said I am hunting moose again this year in BC and I think I am going back to Shuttle T's.

Let me help make your decision very easy. QAD Exodus, swept blade. Fly extremely well at distances beyond 50 yards, thick, strong blades that wont break on heavy elk ribs.

The others you have mentioned are great heads as well. I love Slick Tricks, but their large surface area with 4 blades leads to planing and wind drift at distance.

I shot my bull last year with the QAD Exodus swept blade. Complete pass through at 45 yards and broke clean through ribs. Buddy of mine shot his with one as well and it performed flawlessly. They fly true out to 80 yards and are rock solid and incredibly sharp. I ended up giving what I had left away in elk camp after I tagged out.

I prefer the QAD exodus over any of the heads listed, but of the three you listed, I would use the Slick Tricks.

Never shot an elk, but I have shot a blue wildebeest at 37 yds with a 125 grain slick trick. Complete pass thru and the 'beest went about 40yds b4 hittin the dirt! Put it in the right spot, i doesnt matter what u shoot. Shoot what u have confidence in. Slick trix are all I use!

Colorado bull 345", 1000#'s live weight.

Shot 2 times with a Ramcat at 38 yards and the second at 42 yards. full pass thru's and he traveled a total of 17 yards after the first shot.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, NO blades broke on either shot. Not sure how long I have shot these heads, but I have never broken a single blade and I think I have shot a few animals with them!

I'm in with those that vote for slick trick. I shot my bull last year with a 125 grain slick trick and he went down within a few seconds.

Magnus Black Hornet Razor. It blew through ribs at 30 yards. I was VERY impressed at how well it shot. I came from shooting Rages and now this.

WAC 'em 100g XL's. Elk slayers, popular in PNW on Roosevelt elk and in Idaho

could you shoot them all and see what performs the best out of your bow?

I would personally pick ST's but thats because i've killed piles of animals with them. If I was doing it I'd probably shoot all three and see which one my set up liked the most.
