As some others have already stated, the PP in Texas are different than most other states.
Your "points" are simply how many times your name is thrown in the hat.
It doesn't guarantee your selection.
I know people that have 15+ points for rifle at the Chaparral and have never been drawn.
My group got drawn our first year and again 4 years later, so you never can tell.
