I had some deep 4 wheeler ruts on one of my trails. Was thinking about taking the tractor and fixing it....but the hogs beat me to it. I don't have crops or anything so I find myself appreciating the rootin they do around my place.

They literally leveled the ruts. On my road in, they keep the grass down on the sides of the roads. I'm probably way out of the norm, but I appreciate the piggies.

We are trying to get closed on a place and one of the things we are excited about is it does have hogs.

Yeah, they are a mixed blessing. I like to have a free hunt and fill my freezer with that acorn fed pork but they also tear stuff up. They will root up an acre of wet pasture in one night. Then you got to go in there and fix it up so I guess between the labor, fuel, loss of hay, wear and tear on tractor and implements it was actually not a free hunt!
