Comanche lore fan here. Just ordered used paperback copy and look forward to gaining insight into the Sioux. Thanks for this tip.

Highly recommend any of the McMurtrey fiction featuring the bad arse Comanches Blue Duck, Buffalo Hump etc. and any of the non fiction books about captive white kids and their offspring like Quanah Parker of the late 1800's in Central Texas.

Very kewl. I have been reading on google about the Oglala Sioux tribe. Our family tree has gone down that route but it is really sketchy so far. Don't forget that book could be grossly falsified based on some folks perception of historical text & books.........lol!
