Thinking about getting a new bow want opinions

Right now I'm shooting a mission blaze and have no real complaints about it. Blows arrows through everything I have shot with it. But I just don't shoot it like I did my last bow and it drives me crazy. I sold my mission eliminator 2 which is basically a mathews dxt when I had a shoulder issue and couldn't pull the 70lbs. I'm kicking my self for selling it. That bow was like an extension of my body haha I could stack arrows out to 50 yards all day long. Imake wanting to look at the obsession bows for sure but what would yall suggest me looking at that might have the same kind of smooth draw and forgiveness my old bow had? Sorry for the long read

i bought an obsession a few months ago and I really like the bow. Its a pleasure to shoot and performs really well. I got 306 fps out of a 28" draw at 65lbs and a 425 grain hunting arrow. That's impressive especially since the bow is so smooth and fun to shoot.

I had a Hoyt nitrum turbo before and it was jumpy and I didn't like shooting it.

If you are a Mathews guy and like Mathews then you will love obsession for all of the same reasons plus you will get better performance out of the obsession.

        Good luck

That's dang good numbers for 28 inch draw . That's my same set up draw length and poundage wise. Just need to find a day to go shoot one

Check out 2nd chance archery online. He is out of Georgia and did a great job of paper tuning / spine tuning the bow for me. I will be buying another bow from him in the future.

Shoot as many different makes and models, all set up identical, as yu can and let the bow choose you. I did that over basically a 2 day period and 1000 miles on the truck. Shot over a dozen different bows and picked an Obsession Def Con 6. Very happy.

I second this - let the bow pick you - shoot them all. Why 70 lb. pull?.....just curious.....

I seriously thought about a 60# bow, but I have a Cape Buffalo hunt that I will definitely go on next summer (had to cancel this year) unless I go broke or die and I did not want to drop below 70#'s. I already have my arrows made for the hunt.

I'm not looking for 70lb pull. I had to give up my old bow because at the time 70lbs was hurting my shoulder after I messed it up.....

Thanks for all the replies everybody! I will be shooting as many as I can before I make a decision for sure this time. I rushed myself last time to get something set up before season and wish that I hadn't. No rushing it this time for sure

If 70#'s is too much, then do not hesistate to go 60#'s. If you cannot pull it, you cannot kill anything with it. Fortunately I can still pull 70#'s!
