    Any deer in Honey Grove?

Looking at leasing a tract of land in Fannin County that is in Honey Grove. How is the deer population in that area?

I appreciate any help I can get!

    Thanks guys!

Hunted there for the last 2 years on 73 acres and only saw 3 deer. Supposedly they are all over the place, but rarely saw in on the cameras.

I have never hunted in the area but know a few folks up that way. It seems to be fairly hit and miss. My guess would be if you can control a large enough piece of land for a long enough period of time then it can be really good.

North or South of 82? A few miles north of there is transition from blackland to post oak savannah. Once you get into blackland you have a lot more row crop land but deer density drops dramatically

Been there dove hunting for 3 years on some awesome looking land... Never seen any sign of deer. Landowner lives there And is a deer hunter, says it's pretty poor hunting. Low numbers, poor age structure, lots of pressure

Don't know about the deer, but I've got some great investment property at the intersection of hwy 82 and fm 100. Buy it from me and put in a big lake/boat friendly gas station for the future lake then use your profits to hunt wherever you want.

Wish I didn't see this. I've been trying around with that idea since I first heard of the new lake. Looking for a tract of land for a lake house first though.

I bought 26 acres about 5 miles NE of Bonham that I'm living on. I'm all wooded except for my house and yard. Googleearth shows all woods for several miles NE of me. I had a feeder and camera out since August and caught pics one 1 doe, and 1 yearling buck.

Again, is it north or South of 82?
