Most economical source for moving boxes?

Craigslist. People are always giving them away or selling them cheap after they move.

We have 1/2 price boxes in the Houston area. A little cheaper than HD. They also have other moving supplies like tape, paper and peanuts.

Waxed chicken boxes might be an option if you have a source nearby. You can buy those (and the lids) flat, for easy hauling, and then fold them in shape when you are ready to use.

In the process of moving down to the Dallas area from NJ and have been buying cardboard boxes from Walmart - they also have "heavy duty" boxes that are 30% stronger than their normal boxes. Don't remember the prices but they were a bit cheaper than the boxes at Home Depot. Lowes boxes have handles cut into them but I feel they fall apart too easily.
