I believe it is. Probably from a class action lawsuit against AT&T. My wife got one last week and it was not for much. She did not even know about the lawsuit. The lawyers make all the money in these things and the people who got ripped off get pennies.

I got one, and immediately thought the law suit was due to this. (ever 3 years ago)

Something I had brought to my then boss's (litigation attorney) who, if he'd not been fighting cancer, would have sued them himself.

Probably one of the lawyers... for every one of those checks that aren't cashed, that amount goes back to them.
