I got a check from AT&T

I believe it is. Probably from a class action lawsuit against AT&T. My wife got one last week and it was not for much. She did not even know about the lawsuit. The lawyers make all the money in these things and the people who got ripped off get pennies.

It is a class action lawsuit settlement because they were selling cell phone plans listed as "unlimited data" and above a certain data limit AT&T was throttling, or limiting the data flow so that it was not truly unlimited. They also didn't tell you they were doing this. They fought it in court and lost. I have been a customer for about 7 years including when they were doing this shady practice and my check was about $12

This was four or five years ago, it just took that long to get busted and settle
