Open carry question

I saw one in Hurricanes in Round Rock. He came in with his wife and kids. No one said a word.

Anyone have a link to any of the news outlets who predicted wild west shoot outs and so forth? I know there was some out there, but can't seem to find them? I thought about emailing the said editor and asking their thoughts now having been totally wrong.

Oh and I have only seen 1 person open carry since its been implemented and that was a jewish guy at Target

I've seen 3 folks OC since it started. It's really a non issue just like I thought it would be. In fact, I expected to see more of them, but never expected it to be an issue. In my line of work, I was asked ALOT about my thoughts on it. My response was always the same. "I just don't think it's going to be a problem at all. I think folks are getting drove up about what will ultimately amount to a non-event." I was also asked alot about whether it made me uncomfortable from a LEO's point of view. I know there were lots of cops that were not necessarily against it, but we're a bit nervous about it. My response to that was that "all of the guns you will see being carried in the open are already out there being carried. The only difference will be that you will now know if some is carrying g for sure, at least while carrying open." It kind of gives me a warm fuzzy when I'm at work and have seen it. I'm pretty sure that the person toting that piece is a good guy, though, there's no way to know for sure. I even had a an OC guy approach me while I was pumping gas into my patrol car, thaneed me for my service, and then informed me that he's got my back. It was a nice gesture, I thought. I guess it's just good to know that we do have some folks on our side. Sorry about the long post. Not trying to hijack it. Just my thoughts on this matter.
