What kind of water system do you have in the background of the tripod protein feeder?

Its pretty neat to see the first pictures of the feeders and how much grass was around them, compared to now since the animals have beaten it all down

It was made by oasis wildlife watering sys. Unfortunitely they quit making them.

Just in case you haven't already done it, I am having to stake down my All Season's stand and fill feeders. Big boars get up under them and turn them over. I had three to get back in order one weekend. Hopefully staking them down and keeping them full of corn will help, one big boar has a bounty on his head. Cameras are great, he was the culprit at all three. Good luck, nice place.

THANKS Eddie! Had it staked down on the other place. Never thought about them flipping it. Hopefully get this big boy soon. I'll put a stake on it next trip just in case.

THANKS everyone for the compliments. Really feels good to see a place shaping up!

Now that the season has ended it is time to get back to work on the place. We are getting ready to file our wildlife exemption for taxes & have joined the local wildlife co-op, SW San Saba Wildlife Co-op. We had a good 1st deer season on the place. Shot 3 does & let some really nice young bucks walk. Lots of upcoming young deer around. You can definitely see the age class missing from the 2011 -2012 drought. If we don't have any die-offs we have lots of upcoming bucks. We were really pleased with what we saw. Killed several hogs during the time there. We went up this weekend to get some trees cut & clean up the area where we are having a cabin built. Wife has contracted a cabin builder & looks like we are close to getting started. Filled all the feeders up & they are definitely on the protein. The deer ate 350 lbs in a little less than 3 weeks. Filled it to the top with 800 lbs yesterday. Did some mowing & general clean up after hanging loose during the season. Saw several deer & some of the bucks are dropping antlers. Did see one group of 8 gobblers so they must be moving for spring. Neighbors have told us the turkeys come back in the spring after wintering on the river. I did sit in a stand yesterday evening & killed this big ole boar. Best cutters I have ever killed. I'm gonna take him to one of the guys on here that have the beetles.
It has been a fun filled 1st 9 months on the place & looking forward to the continuing progress.
