    Chic Fil A

Anyone know if they stopped doing military discounts? Wife went to the one on Dowlen Rd in Beaumont today and showed her dependent ID card and was told they had cut out all military discounts not just to dependents but to active duty and retired members as well. I told her I think the gut that told her that was making it up. It would be hard for me to believe a company like Chic Fil A would do that.

Just doing a quick google search it looks like it is on a store by store basis. I guess it's up to the individual franchisee

All chick-Fil-a restaurants are independently owned and operated.

Well that may explain it then. Guess this particular one has changed owners.

Or the owner figured out he would have to close up shop or lay some employees off because his margins are already razor thin.

I appreciate everything our military does but sometimes business is business...

This opinion won't be popular but I tend to agree.

If a business chooses to offer a discount then that's great. When a military, LEO etc EXPECTS a discount then that's not cool.

Not saying that was the case OP but I have seen it before.

Business is Business when companies offer a discount for certain groups they seem to eat their more b/c of it which is good and dad for business. When you add up all the discounts at the end of each month you can take a pretty good hit.

Doubting margins are slim or its the lack of business if it's like every other I have seen. Went to our local chic fil a yesterday and there was a sign by drive thru that said, 322 cars served between 11AM-2PM the day before.

Let me ruffle some feathers. I STRONGLY agree all our military personnel should get a discount, whether active or retired. Most of these companies are bilking billions of dollars from patrons. What is it to knock off 10 percent or such here or there?

It's pretty pathetic we as a whole look out for illegals, welfare recipients (that can but won't work) etc. These men and women deserve more then the BS they are handed with. So yeah I'm all about the discount for them.................

LOL.....I'm neither military, LEO or government employed but that's the lamest saying ever. Your contribution when you look at the LEO and military salary budget as a whole for the US, State or local municipality is chicken **** minimal.....yet you use a blanket statement like you pay everybody's salary? Comical....

It would be similar to me saying I pay all Walmart employees salary because I bought my groceries there.
