Worst bite or sting you've ever got?

The worst for me was an Asp. We were on a road trip and I stopped to water a tree...my neck started itching so I rubbed my shoulder on my neck. That made it worse, so I rubbed harder. Twice. Turns out the "itch" came from an Asp on my shoulder. Sucker hit me several times from the ear to the bottom of the neck. Not a fun drive after that.

I don't think I'm allowed to complain about it after reading some of your stories...

About a 4 inch long hardhead catfish got me between my index and middle finger. Buried the barb, had to cut the barb off, wife quickly took me to emergency room where they cut it out. I have never felt pain like that. Hand swelled up like a boxing glove. Thank God for painkillers. You guys that been hit by one know what I'm talking about. How the heck does a little fish hurt that bad.

Had a red eared turtle latch onto my finger tip as a kid. Punched a big hole right through the middle of my finger nail and through the pad of my booger pickin' finger. That little bugger hurt!

Been hit by several bumble bees. Those jokers hurt.

Was driving down HWY16 on the way to Llano a couple years back. Windows down, rolling about 75 and had a hornet come in the window and nail me right on the bald spot on top of my head! A hornet going 75mph will definitely get your attention. Dang near ran it off in the ditch. I think his stinger touched my medulla oblongata. I squealed like a little girl, near wrecked my truck and my buddy in the passenger seat thinking I'd just suddenly lost my mind and was trying to kill us both. In hind sight, it was a pretty funny turn of events. I wish I'd had a camera inside the cab of my truck.

Got grabbed by a spotted moray eel once. That was pretty horrible.

I got in to some Africanized bees last year . After about the first 100 sting ya stop feeling them. Wasp and scorpions don't bother me to bad

Worst sting was some type of wasp that got me on the back of the neck. I was clearing some cedar trees and thought I had a big cedar thorn hit me, but it kept burning for an hour.

Worst bite was some little fluffy dog the neighbors had when I was a kid. She jumped straight up and latched onto my bicep. It didn't hurt much until she hung on and started thrashing.

Riding four wheelers one time and had half a yellow jacket nest fly up into my shorts. Just about the worst thing that's ever happened to me. They got me exactly where you can imagine they did.

Had a big S. Texas bumblebee fly down my shirt while riding a 4-wheeler.
Stung me twice in same spot on my neck before I could get him off me.

My father was stung by a big ground hornet that flew up his pants leg!

It actualy killed the tissue and the nerve!

Luckily for him, the hornet didn't get above his knee!

Got hit by a man o war while wade fishing. Stung me from the tops of my feet almost to the most sensitive of spots......... Not a good experience!

if we're talking about worst Bite or sting, I'd say Scorpion by far (Sat on it). Red Wasp second. Rattlesnake strike didn't really hurt initially. Its the swelling that comes after that gives you don't want any part of.

Man the first snake that got me felt like he touched bone with his fangs and it burnt. I was probably the first thing it had bitten since it had come out of hiding for the Winter.

For me, the sting of a scorpion was the most intense and immediate pain I've received from a little critter. It didn't last long, however. The most long lasting pain was from a Mexican honey wasp. That thing hurt for a couple weeks. yellow jackets are bad, but not like those other two.

I've been hit by a Man O war, Black Widow, and hardhead, (which was my fault.) I think most hardhead and sting ray hits are our faults though.

The worst by FAR was an ASP.

Hit me on the arm when I was a kid, when I was grabbed a baseball that rolled under a rose bush at my grandmothers house. I could feel the glands in my armpits reacting.
