Worst bite or sting you've ever got?

Seeing the scorpion thread got me to wondering what the worst bite or sting you've ever had from a critter was? I've been bit by a turtle and that hurt like no other. I also got bit by a cottontail rabbit once and that wasn't very pleasant either. For a seemingly cuddely creature they sure can rip someones finger open pretty easy. But I'd say besides those rattlesnakes that got me,red harvester ants have been the worst with bumblebees coming in at a close 2nd. I've caught a bunch but I've never been stung by a scorpion so I don't know. I've heard a bee sting ain't got nothin on that.

Basically all snakes that aren't venomous feel about the same to me. Lizards do too with the exception of a big Great Plains Skink that bit me one time and wouldn't let go. Oh....and Labrador Retrievers can bite pretty hard too. That's all I can think of right now.

I've been fortunate that the worst bite I have got was from a palm sized snapping turtle. It don't end well for that little turtle after I slammed him against the asphalt until he came out of his shell.

The beaks on those turtles hurts like a sumbuck don't it? It don't matter what size,they dig into you.

He took a que tip sized hole out of my palm. Thought he was a little box turtle until he latched on.

Those big ol red ants hurt like the dickens

Got bit by one under my arm...right on a pressure point (upper ribs)

Hurt like hades for almost a whole day

Water moccasin. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
My Dad will say a stingray.

He took a que tip sized hole out of my palm. Thought he was a little box turtle until he latched on.

They certainly will do it and won't feel bad about it either.

I almost forgot about the time a chicken pecked me and made me bleed and cry in a Tractor Supply store when I was a little kid. My mom told me not to mess with them so I didn't get much sympathy when it happened. I also got bit by a big Parrot when I was little. Man you wanna talk about a bird with a serious bite....that'd be it right there. Meanest bird I've ever been around.

Had a pitbull wrap around my leg that was the worst. Other than that red wasps flat out hurt

A buddy of mine in North Carolina would say the same thing. He had a stingray get him on the hand. He told me that was the worst pain he's ever felt.

Worst ones I've had are from true yellow jackets---those little brown/yellow devils the size of a honeybee, not the larger ones that build those paper homes under your eaves and all over the barns and sheds. Hurts way more than a scorpion--

That they do. The last rattlesnake bite I had felt exactly like that around the puncture wound for about 5 days. I still have a small scar where I got bit. It basically did the same thing a black widow bite would do. It ate a hole in my leg. Luckily not a very big one.

I've heard they're bad. To my knowledge we don't have those here. I've never seen one if there are some around anyways.
