                I know of a pretty good sized ranch that has a small herd of elk under low fence. I never see them venture far but they are in the same place most every morning.

                My wife's uncle killed a spike a few years ago while feeding his cattle. He said it and another came up with the cows for cubes. It's somewhat near a hf place that has a bunch of elk.
