Holiday RV Park at 2818 and Wellborn in College Station. Every year from August to November. Best tailgating in the state.

    Oh wait...

I've stayed here a couple times with the family. Very quiet and layed back. Lots of deer to watch too.

Sandpiper on Galveston was nice. But lake Hawkins is our family favorite, close to us. Nice play ground, white sand beaches, just nice and relaxing

Tyler, purtis creek, ray roberts, cooper and joe pool to name a few around Dallas. I know you said texas, but beavers bend in Oklahoma is beautiful and has great trout fishing.

                      Best Western.

If not then anything that has good clean showers, shade, lots of space to maneuver, wifi and is inviting to hunters and fisherman.

My family loved pioneer in Port A. Nice pools, bath houses, boardwalk to the each. You had to plan early to get a space for an extended stay the last few years.
