What is your favorite RV Park in Texas?

We are starting to take more "camping" trips and are looking for ideas for places to go.

My kids love Jellystone in Burleson the most. We make a trip there every summer.

We have been to the one in Waller. Passed the one in Burleson last weekend, going to try to go next summer. Looks big from the road.

For adults, the one by the restaurant on lake Travis (not a nudey place, just not much for the kids). With kids, Glenrose SP is pretty cool. Kids love the dinosaur stuff!

Burleson is definitely the better of the of the parks I've stayed in. Stayed in 3 Jellystones so far - Burleson, Waller, Canyon Lake. They are listed in order of how I would rank them.

                  Other parks to go to:
                  Summit in Canyon Lake

Pioneer RV Park in Port A

KOA in San Antonio (not a great area of town but park is nice. Across the street from the campground is a bus stop that will take you to the Alamo area for a cheap bus fare. Cheaper to ride bus than parking)

Oakdale RV park in Glen Rose - great to hit all the Glen Rose attractions from.

Blanco State Park or if you can't get in there go to Miller Creek RV Resort. Easy drive to Blanco, Dripping Springs, or Johnson City from Miller Creek.

Bastrop State Park - even after the fires it's nice camping. Great swimming pool in the park

Lockhart Start Park - small park but in BBQ heaven! Has a nice swimming pool in the park.

Gulf Coast RV in Beaumont was nice but we only stayed there one night on our way home.

It's not really camping as you are staying in a city park, but Lady Bird RV Park in Fredericksburg wasn't bad.

If willing to leave the state - Cajun Palms in Lafayette, LA is very nice

Gulf Shore, Alabama state park is very nice RV camping as well.

Haven't done this one but plan to this year - Hidden Lake RV Ranch in Jacksboro.

We stay in that one at least twice a year. We will be there in June.

We really like Bohnam state park-small park-no motorized boats-we have kayaks and they have canoe rentals

Tyler state park s really nice also

Davis Mountains State Park out in west Texas. Campground is very nice and scenery is outstanding with lots of Mule Deer around your RV.
