This is at the end of the drive way where the house will eventually be. Left some of the bigger oaks hoping we can save a few and let them grow.

This is in front of where the house will eventually go. Left a good buffer of trees(bushes) between the road and where the house will go.

      Keep at it!

I have the same plan. Set a pole and rent a trencher.

I am lucky and have really good friends and family. Helps being from a small community. The Tractor is the FIL and the brush hog is a buddy of mine I met by doing IT work for him. The box blade belongs to another buddy from church. Buddy with brush hog has a trencher also.

Keep up the good work. It will all pay off one day while having coffee on the front porch looking out over your accomplishment.

Man clearing and digging is sure a lot easier down there then up in the hill country! Congrats on the new place.

Use every resource you can. Always nice to have good folks around you. Lord willing I will be down this weekend running water and sewer lines.

Man there's nothing like owning a piece of land that you love. I bought some land in a area that I have always envied for its deer. The day you close is a special feeling and building a house will be even more special once it's done. That's the plan for me as well soon and something I'll enjoy every minute of. Some say the building precess and picking out things along the build is frustrating but I'm just going to take it in stride and enjoy it.
Congrats on the new land purchase and future home build.

All three oft he companies have come by for the 411, now just waiting on the culvert.

This freaking tool is amazing!!! This is a laser level. I am sure some of you use them on a daily basis but I got to use it for about 30 minutes today just playing around. It is supposed to be turned in by 2 PM tomorrow but I might be renting it for another day.

The other side of the ditch where culvert will be. A few ft to the right is where the tractor was stuck previously.

This is the rotary laser level brain. We are about 4" above the street at that spot, but have lots of low spots around it.

This shows one of the lows spots. Plan for tomorrow is to put out some stakes so I can see where we can break down the high spots and start filling low spots.

This spot is about 6" above street level. It will be getting broke down to fill the low spots also.
