I have had the DR for about 10 years. This thing is a beast. It will cut anything you can run over. I am not easy on equipment by any means either. I have put its fair share of belts on it over they year but it holds up extremely well.

I saw the DR for a bit over $3k. Looks like the swisher had two rough cut options. The 11.5 hp is around $1600 and the 14.5 hp Kawasaki is around $3000.
I guess it is worth clarifying what swisher people are using. Would the 11.5 cut it? (Pun intended)Comment

I really like ours. It'll cut 5' tall Johnson grass and blood weed without any problems. Haven't tried on much brush, just some small salt cedars. Easy on gas too. Mid august, I cut right at four miles of trail on less than a tank.
