In case y'all are not aware, AV gas doesn't go bad. Works just fine in most small engines. Should be able to buy it at most any airport. 100LL or AV gas is what you want. Very handy to keep in jugs with a generator.

My generator runs on gas OR propane. I use propane most of the time because it's cleaner burning, I don't get gas on me during hunting season etc. I can store a great deal of propane for a very long time. :-D

If it really hit the fan and wanted all the family away from anyone else I got 19 miles to the ranch. Cabin, solar pumped fresh water, 2600ac to find game, and bulk diesel tanks for fuel, plus all the obvious guns, ammo, and such. Also has only a very narrow strip of road frontage.

Be careful- an excessive amount of friction on a body part and moisture creates blisters. No one would help you in that predicament.

I see no problem with someone being prepared for some type of natural disaster or anything else. You don't have to be in shape for that.

I have been meaning to assemble get home bags for both vehicles even though we are never more than a couple hours drive from home. My wife knows in case of some type of craziness where to go and to not feel bad for running over anyone. We don't actually have stuff set aside for it though
