The mammoth Silsbee offensive lineman was the Aggies' first '16 commitment and appears likely to be its strongest throughout the process. Hudson has his sights trained on preparing himself early for Aggieland.
I like their chances.Last edited by Chad C; 06-24-2016, 12:04 PM.

They have hinted the 85 number will work itself out (attrition before the season like always).
In the end, Texas has the chance to add some really good players to the 2016 class but let's don't lose sight on why these guys are available. At the end of the day, my excitement is tempered by what it took to get to this point. I am glad Baylor, the NCAA, and the Big 12 have given the kids that did not want to be at Baylor a free release.
Spot on. Great post

I'd raise your percentages:
As most know, Baylor fully released signees OL Patrick Hudson, RB Kameron Martin, OT JP Urquidez, CB Parrish Cobb, and DB Donovan Duvernay. All are possible targets for Texas. It will be a busy few weeks when it comes to adding late recruits, possible attrition, then we’ll roll into Texas’ annual Under The Lights camp in July.
– JP Urquidez: Copperas Cove (TX) OT JP Urquidez said Texas was his “dream school” multiple times early in his recruitment. One hired, wew OL coach Matt Mattox went to meet JP but Urquidez ended up sticking with the Bears.
I haven’t heard where Urquidez will likely end up as the family is keeping things quiet until they offically get the papers. I was told “he knows where he wants to go” by a source close to Urquidez. If the Texas staff is interested, I believe they have a really good shot in this one. – (Andrew)
– Kameron Martin: PA Memorial (TX) RB Kameron Martin is another guy who grew up a big Texas fan. He is extremely close with former Longhorn RB great Jamaal Charles. Martin committed to Baylor early in his recruitment almost two years ago and was frustrated he didn’t receive a Texas offer. Martin showed quite a bit of interest in Texas behind the scenes and just when things started to look good for the Longhorns Martin turned around and got a Baylor tattoo.
After having some conversations with Martin, he is very interested in Texas right now. I would say Texas is the favorite if the Texas staff is willing to take him. He could be the change of pace back that Texas needs in this offense as he has elite speed. The other school I’ve heard is Houston. They just landed former Baylor WR and Martin’s close friend Tren’Davion Dickson.
Martin is Kary Vincent’s cousin so bringing him on could help there. – (Andrew)
– Donovan Duvernay: If Donovan Duvernay doesn’t sign with Texas I will be absolutely shocked. As you all know his brother Devin is headed to Texas as well. – (Andrew)
– Parrish Cobb: I’ve spoken to a few folks regarding the situation with Parrish Cobb including both his mother and father. In terms of a decision timeline Cobb’s father tells me, “Maybe next week”. Cobb’s mother said, “Just celebrating the release right now but hopefully he will be enrolled for next semester (meaning second summer session).” She added, “We’re confident by next week the news (of his decision) will be out.”
So it sounds like we can expect to hear something on Cobb next week.
As far as where he is headed. I am told the top three schools are Oklahoma, TCU and Texas. I’ve been told by sources on all three sides that they want Cobb. However, my source on the Texas side tells me they certainly want him but it will also be a bit of a first come first serve situation just due to the numbers. In other words Texas doesn’t have the scholarship numbers to take all of the released Baylor recruits.
People around Cobb’s family have told me that Parrish wants to go to Texas. However, I get the sense that the father is very interested in Oklahoma and TCU. I can tell you that in speaking to sources on all sides of this, the Cobb’s have not let any of the three schools know where they are headed just yet. – (Super K)
– Patrick Hudson: Patrick Hudson is perhaps the most prized target in the group of players released. I’m told by a source close to Hudson that he will most likely announce his decision in early July. I was told he does plan on enrolling for the second summer session.
Everything I’ve heard from folks around Hudson and his family is that Patrick wants to go to Texas. However, there is a bit of a snag. I’m told that both Texas A&M and Baylor are willing to offer Hudson’s sister a track scholarship. This is something that, at this point, Texas is not willing to do.
At the moment, I do not know to what degree this will impact Patrick’s decision but I am told that if it does it will be more so due to family pressure. Again, I’m told that Patrick has his eye’s on Texas. – (Super K)

I know football is king but with limited scholarships available in track, that's gotta be a bitter pill to swallow if true.
