How do you secure the blind to the platform? I am thinking wood screws and big washers.

Just use drywall screws about every 6 to 8 inches. Blind will not move...

This may have been my problem. I used only 4 or 5 bolts/nuts with washers and it expanded and pulled away from the caulking in between. I was only thinking of keeping it from blowing away. I'll have to add more.

I have also added more holes to my vent system for more airflow.

Have one on order as we speak. Kinda expensive for this poor boy but I told the wife when I'm gone in a few she can sell it here...
