Where's the part in this involving the dead dog on the band field...?
It's in the part that you cut out in your quote, and that part that said the stereotypes aren't always accurate?

I guess I don't understand the correlation between the OP and the story you added

      Oh well

I really enjoyed learning and hearing all about the UT/Aggie history when I was working in Texas. I'll realize that the stereotypes aren't accurate. A friend of mine had a good harvest 3 years ago and bought a rental property on the Alabama coast. It was recently rented to some A&M students, who ended up doing almost 70k worth of damage to the place (not even a new place). My friend was rather peeved, to say the least, and called the guy who's credit card covered the deposit to tell him what had happened. He identified himself as the father of one of the students and a proud Aggie grad, etc. My buddy tells him the amount of damage and the guy (profanely) tells him he doesnt care, and asks "why would someone like you even bother calling me about an amount like that, you have my credit card number so don't ****** bother me again."

        My friend was shocked haha.
        $70K in damage? Yeah, ok!!

And I doubt very seriously any Aggie and father of a Texas Aggie student would ever have those words come out of their mouth.......it's obvious your buddy has the schools mixed up!!

So the good ole campus cops take three young men to jail for putting "road kill" in a field as a practical joke.....yeah jokes sometimes write themselves, but it's not an "Aggie Joke" here.

OH NO....breaking news!! Someone put a dead sticky papered rat in one of the "public" trash cans....let's call in the Texas Rangers!!!! COMMON SENSE is all but gone these days.

Haha, yea it sounded like a pretty thorough job! Fixtures, walls, the works. But again, not relavent to the OP. Just wanted to address the good ole Aggie stereotype that isn't always true. Lots of good Aggies out there, but in a mega school (or any school) there are bad eggs that will prop up dead dogs on the field, etc. I guess that was my original point.
