I once bought a dirt bike with my change jar money. I asked the guy if change was ok first and he said yes. But I think he was surprized when I showed up with actual coins. Ha ha

I got this cool little automated piggy bank. She's five.she'll go through my pockets like a monkey! Any change I got go into her piggy banks . We have to buy her a new one every couple of months, they tend to fill up pretty quick. I think she is up to 11 of the bigger gallon-ish size, and a bunch of the smaller ones.

I have a bucket next to my dresser in my bedroom. Last time I came in around $400. Definitely worth keeping a bucket or jar handy for spare coins as they really do add up over type.
With that said, I find myself using cash less and less these days, so my pile doesn't grow quite like it used to.

How do you guys cash out your change? My son used the coin service at Walmart and it felt like he was getting robbed.
Navy Federal also has a machine like the walmart type ones but it doesn’t charge anything

Found a cache of the 40 ounce sunsweet green juice jars about 15 years ago as a kid. 3 of them are used for quarters, nickels and dimes and I have a big syrup jar that I fill with pennies. I try not to cash out unless I fill them to the brim.
The jar of quarters comes out to about $300, which I've cashed a few times. Actually bought a laptop for college with the change I had saved in those jars.
